Kayaking Instruction: Introduction to Sea Kayaking

This course is designed as an excellent and comprehensive introduction to sea kayaking. No experience is necessary.

- equipment orientation

- kayaking strokes and braces

- launching and landing kayaks

- safety awareness

- wet exits

- tandem rescues

- solo rescues

- outfitting a kayak for touring

- introduction to navigation

This is a one day course.

What- Do you need.

Please bring appropriate clothing for paddling.

• Bring shoes that can get wet (old running shoes, aqua shoes, sandals, etc).
• Swimsuit, Towel and Change of Clothes
• Water, Lunch and Snacks
• Sun Block, Sun Glasses, Sun Hat
• Should you wish to rent a wet suit they can be arranged.

How - Much?- Cost: Group Class - $99.00 per paddler. Class of 2 - $140.00 per paddler. Includes all equipment excluding wet suit.

Guided Kayak trips are also available. Please inquire regarding dates and costs.
